OC is driven by the desire to bring recognition to the distinguished voice of North Carolina’s Hip Hop scene and to show the world that the core of Hip Hop is thriving.Born Octavius Dion Taylor on September 27th, 1984, the wordsmith was once the quietest dude in the room, but he expresses that even then he had bars. Upon recapping his first performance at a death metal showcase in a country shed, OC’s words arrange an imaginatively descriptive scene. Having summoned inspiration from great artists like, Black Thought, Nas, Mos Def, & Phonte, its no surprise that he is often known to say “Hip Hop is all I brought.”
