Earlier this month, Freddie Gibbs was arrested before his show in Paris, on allegations from a woman in Austria that said the rapper had raped her there the year prior. Gibbs managed to fight off extradition to Austria for a few weeks and was even able to be bailed out last week, but it appears that luck has ran out.
Despite what his lawyers say is a lack of any actual evidence, French officials have ordered Freddie to be extradited to Austria. One of his lawyers, Michael Malka, says they are considering appealing the decision, and have 72 hours to decide. Malka cites the “harsh transfer procedure” as reason for opposing extradition and says the rapper is ready to turn himself in to Austrian authorities on his own will.
