Former Boxing Champ Zab Judah Working as a Nursing Assistant

Back in January, Zab Judah made a brief comeback with a TKO victory over Honduras’ Jorge Luis Munguia, after a three-year hiatus from the ring. It is reported that Judah continues to train for the possibility of future opportunities in the square circle, but for the time being, he dedicates most of his time in an adult daycare facility, where he now works as a nurse’s assistant.

According to a TMZ report, in the time since his 2013 loss to long-time friend and hometown rival, Paulie Malignaggi, Judah was able to obtain his license as a registered nurse and has settled well into the profession. In fact, the former 4-time boxing champ not only clocks in to ease the burden of elderly patients suffering from dementia and Alzheimer’s disease, he also dedicates some of his time to teaching CPR and First-Aid courses to trainees at Excelling Nursing Academy.

On Sunday, December 3, Judah revealed how rewarding it is for him to help others break into the profession when he posted a letter one of his students wrote to him after completing a course. “To touch another’s life brings out the true Champ in me! I have grown to humble myself and in return, it’s appreciated by our students. Congrats students you all are my Champs!” he wrote in the post’s caption.
